Beyond the Browser

When you begin to design for the web, you may find all the terms and acronyms a bit overwhelming. Not to mention, instead of testing your separations and ordering color separations, your work will now have to be "sliced up" and reassembled in HTML, your text styled using CSS definitions, and your final files transferred to your web-hosting company for the world to see.

Fortunately for you, GoLive® can help make this transition much easier. GoLive supports all of the same file formats that your typical page-layout application supports, and gives you a real-time preview while you're designing your style sheets (CSS). GoLive even helps your transition by supporting multiple-color models, including CMYK, and handling the conversion for you.

The rest of this site is designed to get you the information you need to make the most of GoLive. This section is intended to familiarize you with the concepts, terms, and technologies associated with getting your work on the web. You will also find links to free resources on the web to help you come up to speed in this new medium.
