Beyond the Browser

GoLive is very extensible. In addition to an abundance of preferences you can set for things like window sizes, publishing servers, project settings, default browsers, and code color syntaxing, GoLive gives you options that can change the way GoLive works at its code. You can change anything about the way GoLive codes your pages, including adding custom tags. You can extend the interface by creating your own objects for the Objects palette, add code Snippets to the Library palette. For those more adventurous, Adobe has released its GoLive SDK, giving you even more ways to customize GoLive's interface.

Web Settings
Web settings is an essential component of GoLive that makes sure your web documents are written with valid source code. It comes with a complete inventory of HTML elements, special character codes, file mappings, and browser display profiles.

Make Your Own Objects
This is a step-by-step tutorial showing you how to create your own objects that appear in GoLives Object palette! Develop the icons and the code to be associated with each object. Customize your workflow or your organization's code standards. It is as easy as HTML!

You can download a set of objects that are ready to be installed and follow the tutorial explaining how to make your own objects.

GoLive SDK
The Adobe GoLive CS2 SDK (Software Development Kit) enables you to extend the behavior and user interface of GoLive CS2. Using the GoLive CS2 SDK, you can create tools tailored to your specific GoLive tasks, or create, customize, and extend most aspects of the GoLive user interface.
